I love pilates, barre, running, personal training and more. This blog is where I share my passion for living healthy including eating the right foods and regular exercising.
I am often told by my clients that my teaching style is unique and in the sessions/classes they feel encouraged, strong and capable in doing the exercises. They never feel like they can’t do a particular move or exercise sequence and they always feel better after class.
My goal as an instructor is to “meet” each and every client where they are physically at that given moment.
Every exercise I teach, starts from the “base”, where we start slow and layer on “moves”.
By doing this I am giving each person options in class. I am a firm believer in listening to your body.
Remember, you are strong, your body is amazing and I applaud you all always.
Whats holding you back? Is it doubt, fear, criticism? Sit with your thoughts/ feelings, figure it out . Grab a notebook and write, use this period for self discovery. Ask yourself the tough questions, re-discover yourself. Once you have accomplished this, release all the negativity, fear etc , let it go.
Believe in yourself , know you can accomplish anything you put your heart into. Yes, it will take hard work and planning and maybe some research depending on the circumstance, but just know you can do it. Yes, you can do it!
I don’t know who needs to hear this right now but I am hoping it resonates with you.
We all get sidetracked from our health and fitness goals from time to time, because life just happens. As a fitness professional, I have been there and completely understand. But instead of beating myself up over it, I have chosen to get back on track.
Here are a few tips that has helped me to refocus:
Figuring out what caused me to drift away from my wellness plan. Was it vacation, injury, sickness or lack of planning.
Planning my workouts for the week.
Just start. It does not have to be a super hard work out, it can be as simple as going for a walk outside.
Implementing good habits daily, and this often starts with a healthy and fulfilling morning routine. Having a morning ritual sets you up for the day.
Reading and researching topics on health and fitness.
Forget perfection.
Having positive thoughts and remembering this is self-care.
Never give up.
