CIRCUIT ROUTINE

As promised, here is the routine:

Jog in place 5 mins to warmup then proceed with circuit:
Body weight squats 25 reps
Pushups 20 reps
Alternating lunges 15 reps each leg
Jumping jacks 40
Plank hold 45-60 seconds
Mountain climbers 40 ( 20 climbs each leg)
Crunches 25 reps
Reverse lunges 15 reps each leg
Jumping jacks 30
Reverse Curls 15 reps
Tricep Dips 15 reps
Side plank hold 45 seconds each side
Butt kicks 25 each leg
Side Lunges 15 reps each leg
Jog in place 2 mins

Perform this circuit 2-3 times. Cool down then stretch.
Do what you are able to, if you can only perform the circuit once, don’t worry about it, you can build up to it.

Hope you like it. Let me know how you are enjoying this.

A LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT

Today I ran 3.5 miles and I feel fantastic. Summer is just around the corner , are you ready for bikini season. Make a decision now to go to the gym at least 4 times this week. Of course cardio and don’t forget to resistance train. Schedule a session or 2 with your trainer. Do this for yourself, make that commitment to yourself, you are important. Please don’t forget to hydrate. Stay healthy and active.

Tomorrow, I will post a mini workout ( no weights or equipment needed). Bye.

A BOOK I READ

I know this book was not written for those of us in the Fitness field but we can all benefit from and use some of the principles outlined in it.

The title is Go Out and Sell Something, by Rollis Fontenot III. This book is very postive and uplifting. There are three chapters in the book we can all learn from and implement in our health and fitness endevours, whether it be to stop emotional eating or running a marathon.

One of the chapters state we should write our game plan, another is to keep our promises and finally overcoming our #1 enemy.
We can take this advice and use it to guide us to lead a healthier life etc.
This is a great book to have and very easy to read. The advice can used in our everday life, we don’t have to be in sales to benefit.
